Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains how Anna Hobart collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, because our business is based in Portugal, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Anna Hobart (annahobart.com) is operated by Duora, Rua do Zambeze, 399 R/C, 4250-505 Porto, Portugal. We are responsible for your personal information. Contact: info@annahobart.com.

What we collect

  • Information you give us: name, email, phone number (if provided), shipping and billing address, order details, and any messages you send us.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, items added to cart, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

You can browse our site without giving us your name. We need your contact and delivery details to process an order.

How we use it

  • to process, ship and track your order;
  • to handle returns, refunds and customer service requests;
  • to prevent fraud and keep our store secure;
  • to send marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them;
  • to show you relevant ads and measure how our ads perform;
  • to improve our website and products;
  • to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Under the GDPR, our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and improving our store), your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We only share what is needed with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store;
  • payment providers, to process payments;
  • suppliers, warehouses and delivery carriers, to prepare and deliver your order;
  • advertising and analytics providers, such as Google and Meta, to run and measure ads;
  • professional advisers and authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Because our business and service providers are based outside Australia, your personal information will be sent overseas. It is likely to be disclosed to recipients in Portugal and other EU countries, the United States, Canada, and the countries where our suppliers and warehouses operate, including in Asia. We take reasonable steps to make sure these recipients protect your information.

Automated decisions

Our store platform uses automated fraud checks on orders. These checks use order, payment, device and address information to flag orders that may be fraudulent. A flagged order may be held, reviewed or cancelled, with a full refund. If you think your order was cancelled in error, email us and a person will review it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the store work (for example, your cart). With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time through our cookie banner or your browser settings.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we will action your request within 5 business days. You can also email us to unsubscribe.

How we protect and keep your information

We use reputable platforms with security safeguards, and limit access to those who need it. We keep order records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, and other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Under the GDPR, you may also ask us to delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy in a portable format. Email info@annahobart.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Complaints

If you have a concern about your privacy, please email us first and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
